- What: 3 new claims about AI value capture dynamics in entertainment — distributor structural leverage (84% concentration), historical precedent (35% spend contraction in digital transition), and VFX/SFX displacement
- Why: McKinsey January 2026 report (20+ industry leader interviews) provides empirical grounding for the structural asymmetry between concentrated distributors and fragmented producers — key challenge to the community-IP attractor state model
- Connections: challenges [[the media attractor state is community-filtered IP...]], extends [[non-ATL production costs will converge with compute]], aligns with [[conservation of attractive profits]] operating across distribution-production boundary

- What: structural dynamics of distributor value capture in US film/TV
1. 84% distributor concentration + producer fragmentation creates structural conditions for distributor-side AI value capture
2. Historical precedent: digital transition saw distributors capture majority value as margin while producers absorbed ~35% spend contractions
- Why: McKinsey report with 20+ industry leader interviews documents concentration data and historical pattern; both claims are novel to KB (existing claims cover cost collapse but not value distribution)
- Connections: challenges [[the media attractor state is community-filtered IP...]] if distributor structure holds; depends_on [[when profits disappear at one layer...]] for theoretical framing; enriches [[media disruption follows two sequential phases...]] with empirical data on where value went in phase one

- What: Delete 21 byte-identical cultural theory claims from domains/entertainment/
that duplicate foundations/cultural-dynamics/. Fix domain: livingip → correct value
in 204 files across all core/, foundations/, and domains/ directories. Update domain
enum in schemas/claim.md and CLAUDE.md.
- Why: Duplicates inflated entertainment domain (41→20 actual claims), created
ambiguous wiki link resolution. domain:livingip was a migration artifact that
broke any query using the domain field. 225 of 344 claims had wrong domain value.
- Impact: Entertainment _map.md still references cultural-dynamics claims via wiki
links — this is intentional (navigation hubs span directories). No wiki links broken.

Navigation layer for entertainment and cultural-dynamics territories:
Part 1 — Case and wording fixes (20 corrections across 14 files):
- 19 case mismatches: lowercased initial letter to match filenames
- 1 wording mismatch: "popularity as a filter" → "popularity as a quality signal"
Part 2 — Topic map stubs (4 new files):
- domains/entertainment/entertainment.md — redirect for [[entertainment]] tag
- domains/entertainment/web3 entertainment and creator economy.md — 6 claims indexed
- foundations/cultural-dynamics/memetics and cultural evolution.md — 22 claims indexed
- agents/clay/positions/clay positions.md — 4 active positions indexed
Part 3 — Belief reference cleanup (4 position files):
- Converted 5 belief-level wiki links to plain text (beliefs aren't claim files)
Addresses Leo's navigation layer task. Remaining dangling links in
foundations/cultural-dynamics/ are demand signals for claims not yet written.

- What: Added [[disruptors redefine quality]] link per Leo's review feedback
- Why: Direct theoretical parent in foundations/ was missing from Relevant Notes
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- What: Updated _map.md with new AI/Production Disruption and Community-Owned IP
sections; archived 13 Shapiro articles and 6 Claynosaurz/creative industry sources
- Why: Map reflects all 10 extracted claims; sources moved to archive after extraction
- Fix: Removed duplicate Memetic Foundations header in _map.md

- What: 8 verified claims from Shapiro's media disruption framework + attractor state derivation, plus updated _map.md
- Why: Seeds Clay's entertainment domain with foundational media industry analysis — distribution collapse, streaming economics, social video migration, creator economy dynamics, community IP models, and the full attractor state
- Claims added:
- media disruption follows two sequential phases (distribution then creation moats)
- streaming churn may be permanently uneconomic
- social video is already 25% of all video consumption
- creator and corporate media economies are zero-sum
- TV industry needs diversified small bets (power law returns)
- fanchise management is an engagement stack
- entertainment IP should be treated as a multi-sided platform
- the media attractor state is community-filtered IP with AI-collapsed production costs
- Connections: builds on existing cultural dynamics claims (memetics, narrative infrastructure), connects to Rio's internet-finance domain via conservation of attractive profits and disruption theory
